World Heritage Coast Hospitality Association
About us

The World Heritage Coast Hospitality Association (WHCHA) was formed in 2002. Its aims are to advance and protect the commercial and general interests of members along the World Heritage coastline.

The objectives of WHCHA are -

  • to promote the development of local tourism and hospitality businesses
  • to increase quality and safety standards and raise awareness of their importance
  • to be the focus for the exchange of professional advice and support
  • to work with the local and statutory authorities to develop local tourism and businesses.
As part of the Association's commitment to raising quality and safety standards among its members, WHCHA, in association with Weymouth & Portland Tourism, Trading Standards and the Dorset & New Forest Tourism Partnership, has developed the 'Safer Resort Initiative' for the Improvement of Professional Standards through Quality & Safety. This initiative is also supported by Southwest Tourism and VisitBritain.
