Wimborne Minster (Dorset)

The town is dominated by the twin towers of the magnificent Minster Church of St.Cuthburga, which was founded in AD 705 and houses the Chained Library (one of the earliest free libraries).

The Priest's House and museum, located opposite the Minster, is one of Wimborne's oldest buildings with a garden stretching down to the millstream.

Wimborne Model Town is Wimborne in miniature as it was in the early 1950's.

The town has a variety of quality shops and Wimborne’s Market is one of the best in the south of England. Walkers can follow the Stour or Avon Valley Ways alongside gently meandering rivers.

Kingston Lacy, close by, is a magnificent National Trust mansion with an outstanding art collection. It is set in attractive formal gardens and parkland.
