Blandford Forum (Dorset)

Blandford Forum is a market town in the East of the county between Wimborne and Sherborne. The entire centre was rebuilt in the 1700s, due to a fire thus giving it its Georgian appearance. Notable buildings are The Corn Exchange, and the 1732 parish church of St Peter and St. Paul.

Thousands of people attend the Georgian Fayre which occupies the town centre and is held in the first week of May each year.

To the south of the town a six arch stone bridge spans the slow-moving River Stour.

Blandford is a busy local centre with four museums and a wide choice of local shops.
