Branscombe (Devon)

Branscombe is believed to be the longest village in the country. It lies in a spectacular valley leading down to the sea. There are rows of pretty thatched cottages, a picturesque dovecote, church and two pubs. There are a number of historic, but still working buildings such as the old bakery and the forge.

The surrounding countryside is a walker's delight. The spectacular coastal path from Sidmouth to the west and Beer to the east takes about half a day.
