The Channel is situated on Weymouths beautiful Esplanade, directly opposite the sandy beach and Weymouth Bay.  We are a short level walk from the town centre, and the picturesque harbour. 

The train station is just around the corner from us and the coach stop is on the opposite side of the Esplanade.

Built in 1797, The Channel is a 4 storey Georgian town house, warm, and comfortable.

Run by the Reay family, who are waiting to welcome you to glorious Weymouth.

Our breakfast menu has many choices, with several items locally sourced and only the best ingredients used.  All our eggs are free range and from a local farm.  Our sausages are from Dorset pigs, home made and delicious.

We are currently awaiting grading by The Green Tourism Business Scheme, a national organisation that grade businesses on their level of ECO friendliness, as many of our business practices are designed to minimise our impact on the environment.  We recycle the majority of our waste, we use ECO friendly cleaning products, we use energy saving light bulbs and our used cooking oil is collected and converted to Bio-Diesel which is then used by the local taxi company.

Facilities

At The Channel all rooms are ensuite, have new flat screen LCD colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and we also offer complimentary wireless internet througout the building.

An iron and ironing board are available upon request. 

The cost of the room includes breakfast and a complimentary car parking permit.
